Allen Iverson Tattoos – The Inspiration That He Needs to Play His Heart Out

Aurel Radulescu asked:

It seems as if you cannot go anywhere without seeing someone that has their bodies adorned in tattoos, look at the famous basketball star Allen Iverson’s tattoos for instance. Allen has been criticized for all the ink that he has on his body, but who is to say how many or how few tattoos a person is truly allowed.

Everyone has their own views on the tattooed generation. One thing does stand firm however, regardless of how many tattoos a person has on their body, they are still a person and they get the tattoos for their own underlying reasons. Before you can begin to understand things about Allen Iverson’s tattoos you have to understand who he truly is as a person.

We are free to express ourselves in any means possible. So, why people past judgment on different forms of expression is beyond the laws entirely. Some people draw inspiration from words, while some people draw their inspiration from pictures who is to say what is right or wrong?

At the start of Allen Iverson’s pro career the star came to professional basketball with one single tattoo. The tattoo was of a bull dog and it was found on his arm. If you think about it when Allen made it into the NBA, so did his bull dog tattoo. If you take the man then of course you are going to take everything else that he has with him.

Allen is always talked about when it comes to his tattoos. People who do not have tattoos find it hard to understand why someone would want so many in the first place. Allen Iverson tattoos have gotten him called different names such as rebellious and have showed people that he has a bad boy persona.

However, just because Allen has chosen to adorn his body with tattoos does not make him a bad person. In fact every tattoo that is depicted on the stars body has a special meaning to him. Whenever hes playing his heart out at a game or simply lounging around, he looks at his tattoos and draws all the inspiration that he needs in order to push himself forward from them.

The History of Black Air Force Ones

George Wynn asked:

The Air force I was introduced in 1982 but was discontinued the following year only to be re-released in 1986 with a Nike logo bearing swoosh at the back of the shoe. Although, the modern versions of the shoes do not come with side panel stitching, still they have not evolved much since their inception. The company has produced over 1700 color variants and earning roughly 800 million dollars in revenue till date. Nike has prohibited certain retailers from selling them online as they had broken certain company rules previously. This brand of shoe was introduced in 1987 and was a flat soled version for regular wear. That shoe could be customized into any color of choice so you could have either black Air force ones or white ones.

Swoosh and the heel could be of any color as well. In 1988 came Air Force III which is the most popular in the series till date and worn by many basketball stars. It was very durable, sturdy than the previous models. At that time, people would purchase these shoes with variants including white or grey or black air force one shoes but later on many more colors were added to the list.   1989 saw the launch of the model IV, also known STS. David Robinson wore it in his rookie days. It was designed on the leopard print base and its height was more than the previous models which made it very popular amongst that generation of basketball players. So, learn some history before you buy air force ones.

Three Step Basketball Success Plan

Tim Breundle asked:

In this article today I would like to talk about my three-step plan for massive basketball success that just about anybody can follow to become a great basketball player.

Basketball is the greatest game ever invented. It’s definitely the most exciting and fast-paced and interesting to watch. What exactly makes a person a good basketball player? How can a young person start out and become a great player? That’s exactly what I’d like to talk about in this article today.

There are basically just two areas that you need to focus on to become a great basketball player and those areas are strength and skill. Both of these areas basically come down to one thing… massively hard work and that just comes down to discipline.

Here is my three step plan that can turn just about anybody into a basketball superstar. The sooner you begin this three-step plan the quicker you will become a great ballplayer.

The first step is to focus on building up your stamina. It’s no surprise that the person who gets tired first loses almost every time. Especially early in your high school career, you can really differentiate yourself by building up massive amounts of stamina that other players simply won’t be able to match.

There is only one way to do this and it is by long distance running. You should immediately begin jogging 2 to 3 miles a day every day before school starts. As you build up your stamina increase the mileage from 3 to 5 miles per day. Realistically speaking, 4 miles is the perfect amount because you can do this in about half an hour once you get your wind built up.

The next step is to focus on strength. The stronger you are the easier the game becomes so you should get into the habit of working out with weights five days a week. Anything you can do to build up your arms, your shoulders, and your chest and abs is beneficial. If you can work out during school, that is optimal (such as during P.E.) otherwise do it as soon as school gets out, or in the morning before school starts but after your jog.

The final step is to focus on skills. Shooting a basketball is a purely mechanical gesture that is ruled completely by muscle memory or reflex. We build up muscle memory through repetition so you should spend 2 to 4 hours every single night shooting baskets. Choose 10 to 15 spots around the basketball court and make 10 baskets in a row from each spot every single day. You may have to start out making only five baskets in a row and slowly easing up to 10. This practice routine will very quickly make you into one of the best shooters around.

At the end of the day, those three steps are really all you need to become a massively successful basketball star. These steps in and amongst themselves aren’t all that difficult, they just take discipline and hard work but if you’re willing to put in the time you’ll be amazed at the outcome.
